We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner Treatment Operations to join our FinanceBusiness Performance and Analysis Team in our Finance & BusinessPerformance Division on a fixed term temporary basis for up to 2 years.

- Base salary range $125435 up to $135000 (pending experience)

The Opportunity

As theFinance Treatment ContractLead, you will primarily be responsible for the financial oversight andstrategic support to the Treatment Operations Alliance Contract between HunterWater and Veolia.

The purpose of this role is to ensurethe completeness, integrity and accuracy of financial information reportedwithin the Hunter Water financial statements for the Treatment Operations AllianceContract through transparent reporting and forecasting.

What you'll do:

- Prepare and present high quality, timely management reporting for the Alliance Contract within Hunter Water financials. This includes insightful analysis of performance against the Hunter Water operating budget and ensuring the overall monthly reporting deadlines are met.

- Review, analysis and processing of financial information provided by the Veolia to Hunter Water including accruals, claims, invoicing and reconciliation to Hunter Water financial statements.

- Ensure adjustments to the Alliance budget are understood and accounted for correctly including escalations, profit sharing arrangements as well as capital and operational expenditure determinations.

- Quarterly budgeting and forecasting.

- Maintain accurate Inventory accounting, including tracking of stocktake outcomes and substantiation of balance sheet entries.

- Act as the primary finance liaison for the Treatment Operations Alliance activities for Hunter Water, attending meetings as Hunter Water representative, supporting the independent audit process, and responding to ad-hoc financial queries.

- Provide direct support to operational teams as required as well as contribute to broader finance team reporting activities.

- Build strong working relationships with internal and external senior leaders, understanding Hunter Water business areas and support the business in better understanding and interpreting Alliance financial information and performance metrics.

- Drive ongoing development, process improvement and maintenance of management reporting, budgeting and the forecasting processes and policies, including documented procedures.

What you'll need to be successful:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or an equivalent related discipline.

- Extensive experience in a senior management accounting role including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting and variance analysis; demonstrating a strong understanding of commercial business principles and practices with proven experience influencing commercial outcome s.

- Proven ability to influence stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven workplace and to effectively manage challenges and changing priorities whilst still meeting team and corporate deadlines.

- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus and desire to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of professionals

- Have obtained CPA or CA designation
