Commercial Project Lead

Manage the development and negotiation of commercial arrangements with major developers.

Lead the negotiation of bespoke commercial agreements to accelerate the delivery of Sydney Water services.

Contribute to Integrated Water Cycle Management service development and other innovative offerings.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to lead the development and negotiation of commercial arrangements with major developers and infrastructure agencies in line with risk and commercial principles.

The role ensures Sydney Water's commercial policies and external services are effective and efficient in delivering developer customer outcomes while managing business risk and performance.

What you will be doing

- Lead the establishment and review of commercial policy and frameworks for developer funding and procurement of the delivery of Sydney Water services

- Support the negotiation of standard commercial agreements with major developers and government agencies.

- Negotiate bespoke commercial agreements with major developers, agencies, utilities and third-party water service providers ensuring regulatory, pricing, and commercial frameworks are applied.

- Support, assist and provide guidance to developer facing teams to increase awareness and understanding of commercial risk management issues.

About You

- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and developing commercial agreements.

- Proven success in working with Legal teams to develop contracts.

- Demonstrated experience in managing and working in multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects.

- Demonstrated success in communicating and presenting complex information to audiences of varying levels.

- Proven ability in managing complex external stakeholder relationships and working on diverse internal project teams.

- Tertiary qualifications in management, business, or similar degree relevant to the role, or experience deemed equivalent.
