Security clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline
Rates: $80 - $100 per hour (inc. super)

The Data and Analytics Branch supports the Agency by providing high quality data and reporting and translating insights into measurable business performance improvements. It focuses on delivering data and reporting while building data literacy capability across the branch and regions. The team develops, governs, and maintains an enterprise data warehouse and manages the Agency's reporting platforms and production content. It designs and builds Business Intelligence (BI) interventions and prototype analytic solutions and reports, identifying trends and drivers of performance.
The role will support the delivery of strategic data assets and data products by collaborating with business and technical users of the Data & Analytics technology to author high quality business and technical requirements that align to the target architecture and business use cases.
The role will be critical to the success of the delivery of the data assets and data products roadmap by being a trusted voice that all areas of the Data & Analytics branch and other stakeholders can interact with to work through delivery scope, timeline and issues and bring together the business need with the data solution.
Duties may include some or all the following but not limited to:
- Develop a traceability framework for project team members to follow to ensure all project deliverables link to an agreed business outcome via succinct and unambiguous business and technical requirements.
- Elicit and document business and technical requirements to support the strategy and goals of the Agency as they relate to the Data & Analytics transformation program.
- Analyse and document business process and data flows to provide current and future state context to support business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure appropriate stakeholders are included in the development of business and technical requirements, including facilitating relevant workshops, meetings, working groups, etc.
- Review and provide feedback on business and technical design documents to ensure designs align with expected business outcomes, as captured by business and technical requirements.
- Input to the design and implementation of solutions that deliver to the business and technical requirements and meet the expected business and technical outcomes.
Essential Criteria
1. Demonstrated expertise leading hands-on business and technical requirement development and stakeholder validation in a large-scale business data and analytics transformation program.
2. Experience implementing Data and/or Analytics products and services and accompanying data architecture (e.g. Data Models, ETL, data governance, security).
3. Demonstrated expertise documenting data and process flows to analyse and provide context to business and technical requirements.
4. Ability to gather, analyse and translate business data to meaningful and actionable insights.
5. Strong proficiency with JIRA and Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
6. Practical Agile, Hybrid and/or Waterfall delivery framework experience.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience in working with diverse project, in-house development, and vendor teams to deploy complex, integrated technologies and effect business change.
2. Experience as a scrum master.
3. Experience with SAS Viya 4 platform.
4. Hands on data analysis skills in interrogating data, source to target data mapping and data lineage (e.g. SQL, Python).
