About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our GM – Dam Improvement Program, as Project Director, you will lead a multi-billion-dollar critical water infrastructure project, applying proven leadership and governance to ensure that the project delivers best for business outcomes. Using your project management experience and applying best in class project management principals, you will work closely with the delivery partners to ensure consistent, safe, and timely delivery within scope and budget. The role demands high-level stakeholder engagement, collaboration across teams, and a positive working culture, while ensuring all safety, compliance, and quality expectations are exceeded.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex dam improvement projects, ensuring safe, timely, and budget-compliant delivery through collaborative planning, management and execution.
- Oversee capital works with minimal disruption, fostering positive engagement across teams and stakeholders.
- Provide expert project and contract management, integrating diverse perspectives to proactively address risks and drive shared outcomes.
- Advise senior leadership on strategic issues, promoting open communication and alignment with broader organisational goals.
- Uphold Seqwater’s safety, quality, and behavioural standards, contributing positively to team culture and supporting colleagues as needed.
This is a site based role working Monday – Friday at Lake MacDonald, Queensland
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Project Management or Economics, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading major water infrastructure and earthworks projects, including specialist teams and contractors.
- Strong management skills in operational planning, budgeting, and quality assurance aligned with industry regulations.
- Proven ability to administer large-scale collaborative contracts and deliver complex projects effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams, with the ability to organise work, set priorities and meet deadlines.
This position is a maximum term contract for 5 years, and will be offered as an individual TFR contract with an attractive salary.
