Director of Medical Services - Blackall, Queensland

Permanent (flexible full-time, full-time)

Work at top of scope, challenge yourself and be part of our One Practice Model of Care that allows you to practice at local hospitals, general practices and provide outreach to our primary health. Our model of care is backed by a collegial and supportive team environment

What's involved – You will have clinical, operational, and professional oversight of medical service delivery within the Blackall Hospital, Blackall General Practice and outreach sites. This includes ensuring medical services are high performing and contribute to a learning health service that actively pursues opportunities for efficiency and improvement.

This role is pivotal in advocating for and understanding the health care needs of the community, to deliver a patient focused health care service at Blackall Hospital in line with community, departmental and Central West Hospital and Health Service (CWHHS) priorities.

We want candidates willing to contribute to the development of a cohesive and supportive team environment, both locally and as part of the CWHHS ‘single practice' model.

Role requirements:

- A relevant post-graduate qualification - FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent for Senior Medical Officer.

- On a training pathway leading to FRACGP, FACRRM for Senior Medical Officer (Provisional Fellow).

- A genuine desire to work at top of scope in acute and general practice settings, making a real difference to the lives of remote Queenslanders.
