The Role
Once in this role, you will be a Senior member of our consulting team. Day to day you will be responsible for designing and implementing AWS-based solutions for migration of Oracle databases (12c and later) and other applications (WebLogic based); accounting for the constraints of licensing,run cost, performance and resilience.
You will be expected to collaborate with your Cevo teammates, customer teams, and any other third-party support vendor teams to support and deliver successful workload migrations.
We expect you will identify and advocate for opportunities for improvements to migrated workloads, including architectural, security, resilience, performance and cost.
As a Senior member, we will be looking to you to mentor and grow other Cevo team members through sharing skills and knowledge, whether related to Oracle or AWS or other capabilities you may bring to the role.

You are a highly motivated technical consultant who is driven to deliver the best work to your clients. We want someone who loves the challenges enterprise migration offers.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have;
- Extensive experience with Oracle 12c and 19c databases as a DBA (21c and 10g also useful) to bring skills including the design, installation, configuration, and operation of the database like backups, restoring, migrating, monitoring and tuning both in on-premises and AWS environments
- Strong Consulting skills and customer facing skill set
- Ideally worked within a Cloud Team (specifically AWS)
- Skills with Infrastructure as Code (eg Terraform, CloudFormation) and Configuration as Code (eg Ansible, Puppet, Chef) would be beneficial
- A true passion and high energy personality
