Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chef to join our innovative team at St Vincent’s Care Services, Hawthorn on a part-time basis.

In this role, you will utilize your strong cooking skills and passion to provide our residents with a fine dining experience, delivering multi-course, elegant dishes and planning various menus. This is an opportunity to showcase your creativity while working alongside a highly experienced team in a dynamic environment that is redefining aged care standards.

St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn (also known as Mary Mackillop Aged Care) is a 91-bed facility located in Hawthorn East, just 7 km from Melbourne's city center, with Camberwell Junction nearby.

This is a permanent part-time position working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

What we value:

- Proven experience with volume cooking in environments such as hotels, healthcare, or similar
- Excellent knowledge of food services, including chill production and dining service planning
- Ability to lead daily kitchen operations with the support of kitchenhands and ensure smooth running
- Understanding and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- High-level customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow care plan directives
- Understanding of aged care, resident rights, and responsibilities
- National Police Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required
