Overview

My client, a leading Financial Services group, isseeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountantwith a strong background in indirect tax compliance and reporting to join their Group Tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exposure to complex tax matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

- Manage the preparation and review of indirect tax (GST/FBT/Stamp Duty) returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax reporting processes.
- Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities on compliance-related matters.
- Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of indirect tax controls, systems, and processes.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the business.
- Assist with tax audits and queries from regulatory authorities.
- Partner with finance and business teams to ensure accuracy of tax data and reporting.

Qualifications

- Professional qualifications (CA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent) are highly regarded.
- Proven experience in indirect tax compliance and reporting, ideally within a large corporate, financial services, or professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of GST legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
