Senior Project Manager – Maximo MAS9 Upgrade – Utilities Sector – Initial 12-month contract (extensions highly likely)

Our client is a well-respected entity dedicated to providing services to individuals and communities in remote regions seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a major initiative of their Maximo MAS9 upgrade. This project is a key component of their broader digital transformation, modernising critical systems, retiring legacy technologies and building the foundation for future innovation and scalability.

This role will see you leading the planning, governance, delivery and stakeholder engagement activities across a complex program environment, ensuring alignment between business, technical and vendor teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Leading end-to-end project delivery, including scope, budget, resources, risk and quality management.
- Driving governance and stakeholder engagement across business, technical, vendor and executive levels.
- Preparing and presenting business cases, project plans, reports and documentation to senior stakeholders.
- Overseeing vendor management, ensuring delivery performance and contract compliance.
- Facilitating collaboration between integration, testing, change management and training teams.
- Supporting transition, release management and capability uplift to ensure sustainable outcomes for PWC.
- Mentoring PWC employees to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term benefits for the organisation.

The role will be offered as an initial 12-month Day Rate contract with a very flexible hybrid WFH agreement. There will also be a requirement to travel to Darwin with the rest of the team for 1 week every month, though all costs and allowances are covered.

The skills/experience needed will include but not be limited to:

- Extensive experience managing significant business and technology programs or projects.
- Proven success leading enterprise application upgrades or cloud-based transformation projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
- Experience managing technology vendors and contracts in complex delivery environments.
- Knowledge of change management principles and their integration into project delivery.
- Excellent communication, planning and governance capabilities.
- Highly regarded: Prior experience within the utilities sector or with Maximo MAS9 implementations.
