This is a pivotal role within our national PMO, responsible for replacing legacy systems with modern, scalable technology solutions that align with strategic business objectives.# **About the Role****Senior Project Manager – IT Transformation****Location:** Melbourne, Victoria **Business Unit:** GBIS – Corporate **Reports To:** GM of IT PMO & Project Delivery**About the Role**As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of a critical IT systems rollout—from planning and execution to delivery and stakeholder engagement. Operating at a national level, you will drive project outcomes that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and workforce capability.* **Project Planning & Scoping:** Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans and resource allocation models.* **Budget & Financial Management:** Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability and return on investment.* **Execution & Monitoring:** Lead project execution, monitor progress against milestones, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.* **Risk & Issue Management:** Identify and mitigate risks proactively, developing contingency plans to minimise disruption.* **Stakeholder Engagement:** Serve as the central point of contact for project communications, ensuring alignment and transparency across business units.**Experience & Qualifications*** Proven experience delivering complex IT projects in large-scale environments.* Strong command of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.* Demonstrated success in managing senior stakeholders and third-party vendors.* Experience implementing technology solutions for field workforces or compliance systems is highly regarded.* Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.* PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Certified Practitioner certification preferred.You’ll be part of a national organisation driving real transformation through technology.
