About your role
As a Lab Technician at IXOM, you will be responsible for performing routine lab testing, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA requirements, and supporting Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes. You will be based at our manufacturing site at Revesby and report to our National Technical Manager. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and integrity of our laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing in accordance with standard operating procedures and quality standards.
- Accurately record and report test results, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
- Assist in identifying and reporting any anomalies or deviations in test results.
- Conduct basic maintenance and calibration checks on laboratory equipment as scheduled.
- Report equipment faults or calibration issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to testing activities as well as reporting hazards, incidents, or near misses in accordance with site procedures.
- Follow laboratory quality procedures and contribute to maintaining compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA requirements.
- Participate in internal quality control activities, including sample preparation, duplicate testing, and documentation.
- Support the upkeep of laboratory registers and documentation systems.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and site teams to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Participate in training programs to maintain competency and stay current with laboratory procedures and safety practices.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
Who we are looking for
We are open to discussing this opportunity with people with little to no lab experience as well as more experienced lab technicians. As long as you have the following:
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Eagerness to learn
- Competency with MS Suite
- Cert 4 in Laboratory Operations, desired
