Who are Heidi?
Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that supports clinicians every step of the way, from documentation to delivery of care.
We exist to double healthcare’s capacity while keeping care deeply human. In 18 months, Heidi has returned more than 18 million hours to clinicians and supported over 73 million patient visits. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi across 116 countries and over 110 languages.
Founded by clinicians, Heidi brings together clinicians, engineers, designers, scientists, creatives, and mathematicians, working with a shared purpose: to strengthen the human connection at the heart of healthcare.
Backed by nearly $100 million in total funding, Heidi is expanding across the USA, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with major health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, MaineGeneral, and Monash Health, among others.
We move quickly where it matters and stay grounded in what’s proven, shaping healthcare’s next era. Ready for the challenge?
The Role
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager – Growth to lead the team responsible for accelerating Heidi’s global expansion through experimentation, data-driven insights, and scalable growth systems.
You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team focused on optimizing acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. Working closely with Product, Data, and Design, you’ll build the infrastructure and tools that power Heidi’s growth loops, ensuring every user touchpoint feels magical and delivers measurable business impact.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who loves metrics, creativity, and speed, blending engineering rigor with product intuition to help Heidi reach millions more clinicians and patients worldwide.
What you’ll do
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on acquisition, activation, and retention experiments across our products and markets.
- Build scalable systems and internal tools that support rapid iteration, from A/B testing frameworks to event instrumentation pipelines.
- Partner with Product, Data, and Marketing teams to identify high-leverage opportunities that drive growth and user delight.
- Champion an experimentation mindset, fostering a culture where we learn fast, measure impact, and scale what works.
- Own the technical roadmap for growth infrastructure, analytics, and automation.
- Collaborate closely with regional and product leadsto ensure growth initiatives align with Heidi’s go-to-market priorities.
- Contribute to strategic planning around international expansion, platform adoption, and product‑led growth.
- Foster engineering excellence through mentorship, thoughtful code reviews, and a focus on simplicity and velocity.
What we’ll look for
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or people management role.
- Proven experience driving growth through experimentation, analytics, or data‑informed product development.
- Strong technical background in modern web technologies (e.g., TypeScript, React, Python, Go) and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
- Deep understanding of growth systems — A/B testing, data pipelines, event tracking, user segmentation, or automation tooling.
- Strong analytical mindset; able to translate data into insights and strategy.
- Experience with AI code generation tools and driving adoption within the team.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with product, design, and marketing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance speed and quality.
- Passion for building high‑performing, low‑ego teams that move fast and learn continuously.
What do we believe in?
Heidi builds for the future of healthcare, not just the next quarter, and our goals are ambitious because the world’s health demands it. We believe in progress built through precision, pace, and ownership.
- Live Forever - Every release moves care forward: measured, safe, and built to last. Data guides us, but patients define the truth that matters.
- Practice Ownership - Decisions follow logic and proof, not hierarchy. Exceptional care demands exceptional standards in our work, our thinking, and our character.
- Small Cuts Heal Faster - Stability earns trust, speed delivers impact. Progress is about learning fast without breaking what people depend on.
- Make others better - Feedback is direct, kindness is constant, and excellence lifts everyone. Our success is measured by collective growth, not individual output.
Our mission is clear: expand the world’s capacity to care, and do it without losing the humanity that makes care worth delivering.
Why you’ll flourish working with us 🚀?
- Flexible work with a hybrid environment
- Additional paid day off for your birthday and wellness days
- A generous personal development budget of $500 per annum
- Learn from some of the best engineers and creatives, joining a diverse team
- Become an owner, with shares (equity) in the company, if Heidi wins, we all win
- The rare chance to create a global impact as you immerse yourself in one of the leading healthtech startups in the world
- If you have an impact quickly, the opportunity to fast track your startup career
