Our Victorian Civil team specialises in the design of roads, rail, bridges, stormwater, and general civil engineering projects. This is a skilled, high performing team that works on a wide variety of projects in the Transport, Power, Water and Industrial market, and provides civil expertise around stormwater drainage, earthworks and road/pavement design. Some of the key recent projects the team have been delivering on include Fulham solar farm, Melbourne Airport/'s Third Runway and the Western Treatment Plant Upgrade.
The opportunity
On the back of recent project wins and a strong pipeline of work, our established civil team is expanding and looking for an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our team.
This is a varied role that includes:
- Managing and delivering projects with support from our technical specialists, liaising with clients and design management.
- Undertaking designs using Civil 3D or 12D, including geometric design, storm water, utilities and earthworks
- Increasing your knowledge of business and operations including budget and revenue management
- Demonstrating effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills
Flexibility, proactivity and an understanding of the importance of team work in a consultancy setting are essential attributes in this role. In addition, you will possess excellent communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, and the ability to display initiative.
About you
You will be a near chartered Civil Engineer with a strong track record in a consulting engineering environment. You will have 3D design experience in 12d or Civil 3D, gained in residential / Industrial Land Development or Highways. Self-motivated, you strive for technical excellence and exceeding client expectations. You are passionate about developing and motivating others, whilst ensuring that the team works collaboratively to meet project deliverables. A detailed knowledge of the Australian market and Australian standards is preferable. You are a values driven person who enjoys sharing the successes of your colleagues and delivering excellence for your clients.
