About the Role

We seek an experienced Oracle Server DBA SME with 12-15 years of overall experience, including 3-5 years in Azure PaaS and Terraform skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance through advanced techniques and troubleshooting.
  • Security Hardening: Implement security measures to protect databases from vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Automation: Streamline database management processes using PowerShell, Terraform, ARM/Bicep.
  • High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR): Ensure database availability and disaster recovery planning.
  • Cost Optimization: Reduce costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
  • Ansible Playbooks: Manage Ansible Tower for automation and understand Ansible playbooks.
  • SQL Tuning: Refactor SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Pre-installation Tasks: Install Oracle DB, manage patch updates, and perform pre-installation tasks.
  • Database Upgrade and Migration: Strong knowledge of database upgrade, migration, patch installation, and implementation.
  • Terraform Deployment: Deploy and manage Terraform codes with troubleshooting ability.
  • Ansible Automation: Enhance database management through Ansible and Terraform automation.
  • Oracle Database Configuration: Install and configure Oracle Database 12c/19c on Unix platform in standalone and RAC environment.
  • RAC Architecture: Specialized in Oracle RAC understanding complexity across servers, OS, network, and storage layer.
  • Backup and Recovery Management: Strong knowledge of RMAN backup & recovery management and troubleshooting backup issues.
