Amana Living is one of the largest Aged Care providers in Western Australia. We offer services including residential care homes, transition care programs, retirement living villages, home care, day care, respite, and dementia specific services. The Position

Based in the Southern suburbs, the Kitchen Hand role involves helping prepare meals and support residents through food service. This is a permanent part-time role offering up to 40 hours per fortnight for PM shifts.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules

- Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to hygiene standards

- Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with organizational values

- Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice

- Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others

- Collect temperature and cleaning records for the week and submit for checking

- Record any dietary changes on master print out

- Check stock requirements and replenish shopping supplies as needed

- Provide flexibility to work across sites within the rostered group

About the role

As a member of the Hospitality Kitchen Permanent Pool SOR, flexibility is essential to meet clinical needs across various sites. You may be deployed to different locations within a cluster of sites as needed. You may be required to work at different sites within contracted hours to address clinical requirements.

- Rostered shift may change on the day based on operational needs

- No fixed site assignment; employees are deployed to different locations within a predefined group

- Evidence of COVID-19 and current Flu vaccinations per policy

- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6 months)

- Pre-employment medical and reference checks

- NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain)

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to attend 1 day paid induction at Rivervale Training Institute
