Senior Control Systems Engineer

NES Fircroft is partnering with a tier 1 iron ore miner supporting their major project portfolio across their Pilbara assets. These projects are progressing into their next stage and require additional control systems engineering resources.

Benefits

- Dedicated onboarding and aftercare team as an NES Fircroft contractor

About You

- Degree qualified in Control Systems Engineering or similar discipline, with demonstrated West Australian mining experience

- GE/Emerson and Siemens PLC programming experience

- Ignition SCADA, Cimplicity, WinCC programming experience, including HMI system design/development

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities

- Experience with various systems controllers and programming languages (Structured Text, Function Block, Ladder, C#, VB)

Job Role

- Design, develop, and implement control systems for brownfield (mine site, fixed plant, power, NPI, and water) and greenfield projects

- Ensure systems meet performance, safety, and reliability standards

- Review designs to ensure compliance with Australian engineering standards

- Manage contractors and control system integrators

- Program PLC and SCADA systems hands-on
