This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive learning environment. You will leverage the skills and knowledge of Senior Social Workers and other health professionals to provide a sound comprehensive service, encompassing assessment, treatment, advocacy, prevention, and collaboration. You will help children, adolescents, and their families navigate the challenges that can arise from complex and diverse needs and mental health concerns, and you will play a vital role in helping young people establish practical and attainable goals, promoting the highest level of function in various aspects of their lives and improving overall well‑being. What you’ll be doing: - Conduct bio‑psychosocial assessments and mental state assessments to determine the unique needs of young people - Provide social work service including mental health assessments, risk assessments, case management and evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families and groups - Advocate for clients’ rights and needs within the community and the healthcare system - Liaise with families, carers, health professionals, community agencies and others to coordinate care, intervention and discharge planning, report on client progress and outcomes, and initiate referrals Please note a tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers is a requirement for this role.
