CHILDCARE ASSISTANT - Hamilton Island Kindy

Hamilton Island has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Childcare Assistant to join our team at Hamilton Island Kindy. Working with the youngest residents of Hamilton Island requires dedication, flexibility and a disposition to match the year round sunshine

Your Role

- Work across our Nursery and Kindy rooms
- Assist the Group Leaders and Director in running programs that create a stimulating and interactive learning environment
- Interact with children in order to nurture their natural development and raise their self–esteem
- Make every day fun so learning happens effortlessly
- Preparation and service of food and beverages as required
- Live on island role

About You

- Cert III in Childrens Services as a minimum requirement
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate, CPR and Asthma/ Anaphylactic
- 2 years of practical experience in the children's services industry
- Queensland Blue Card for working with children
- Queensland Child protection and abuse prevention certificate
- Genuine passion for children, with an enthusiastic and happy nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
