One of Australia's most successful and innovative free-range egg producers requires an experienced leader in food manufacturing and distribution.
Role
The core purpose of this role is to ensure the best egg quality and the efficient allocation and delivery of eggs to customers. The role will run the grading floor, which grades and packs 80,000 dozen eggs per week. The grader has a capacity of 40,000 eggs per hour. The grading floor team, which reports to this position, comprises 6 or 7 personnel. Specific responsibilities are as follows:
- Lead, recruit, develop, and effectively engage the Grading Team
- Build a labour resource pool for farm operations
- Develop and manage the grading roster
- Coordinate people, trucks, and deliveries between farms and the Grading Room
- Oversee the cost of logistics and distribution to improve operational efficiency and financial performance
- Allocate and manage order fulfilment to customers
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment in the Grading Room and Delivery operations
Requirements
The job requires someone who is numerate and ideally has team leader experience gained in a food manufacturing environment. Candidates do not have to have a poultry background as training can be provided.
