Overview

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Launceston invites applications from enthusiastic, registered and suitably qualified teachers for the position of:

Primary Teacher - Full-time

Work type: Limited Tenure (Leave Replacement 2026)

Location: Sacred Heart Catholic School - Launceston

School enrollment: Approximately 455 students (K-6) in 2025

Commencement: 2 February 2026 – 17 December 2026

Role: To contribute to a school that values Catholic Education and to deliver high-quality learning and wellbeing outcomes for students.

- To continually develop positive relationships with all members of the school community.

- To genuinely support each student within your care, celebrating diversity and catering for individual differences as required.

- To be an active, collaborative, professional and relational member of a Catholic School Community.

- To develop and support a school culture that empowers students to think critically, discern wisely and value the search for truth.

- To actively engage and encourage parents to be involved in their child’s education through various opportunities.

Applicants Will Need

- Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching.

- Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.

- Have appropriate graduate and/or post-graduate qualifications.

- Be a registered Teacher in Tasmania or be able to gain registration prior to commencement.

- Have a current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.
