An established and growing business with a national footprint is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take the reins on internal operations, enabling the leadership team to focus on strategic growth.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape operational performance, develop scalable systems, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
The Opportunity
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for aligning people, systems, and processes to ensure smooth day-to-day execution across key business functions.
Working closely with the lLeadership team, your remit will cover delivery support, internal coordination, finance and reporting, resource planning, and compliance. You’ll be central to the business’s next phase of growth, building the operational backbone that supports scale, without compromising quality or culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimise internal operations across teams and departments
- Oversee project resourcing, utilisation, and capacity planning
- Improve systems for time tracking, invoicing, and internal reporting
- Drive coordination between delivery, support, finance, and admin functions
- Identify process bottlenecks and delivery risks, implement practical solutions
- Maintain high visibility over commercial performance and margin protection
- Support hiring and onboarding in collaboration with HR
- Create a cohesive operational environment where performance and collaboration thrive
About You
You’re a commercially savvy operations leader with strong experience managing internal functions in a service-based or project-driven business.
You bring:
- Senior experience in operations or business management roles
- Understanding of project delivery and service-based revenue models
- Proven ability to implement structure, systems, and scalable workflows
- People-first leadership style, hands-on, approachable, and outcomes-driven
- Strong commercial acumen and financial oversight
- Proficiency in project/resource tools, Excel, and internal reporting
- Familiarity with ISO, WHS, and compliance frameworks (advantageous)
