Overview

Fjord Ice Baths is seeking a Refrigeration Apprentice to join our passionate team in creating the world’s finest ice baths. Based in Burleigh Heads, we design and manufacture premium, durable, and beautifully crafted ice baths for residential and commercial use, inspired by Nordic winter bathing and cold exposure therapy.

We’re looking for a proactive and mechanically inclined team member with a passion for quality work. You must be self-driven, take ownership of your tasks, and genuinely want to contribute to a supportive team culture. This role will report directly to the Head of Production and includes full training and onboarding.

Key Qualifications

- A minimum of 3 years of workplace experience.
- Current driver’s license, with flexibility for local and occasional interstate travel.
- A proven ability for mechanical tasks and working with your hands.
- You are highly self-driven and naturally take ownership of your tasks and work quality.
- A genuine desire to be an active, contributing part of a supportive team culture.
- Meticulous attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Strong organisational skills to manage deadlines and multiple builds simultaneously.
- Current handling ARCtick license(desirable).

Key Responsibilities

- Assembly of ice baths and ice showers.
- Assist the Production Manager in daily operations.
- Execute quality control checks on components and final products.
- Parts production and component assembly.
- Maintain factory organisation and cleanliness.
- Act as a Trade Assistant to qualified staff.
- Perform inventory management and stock tracking.
- Install vacuum refrigeration systems on the production line.
- Optional: Participate in field work for installation and service (for experience).
- Driving and logistical support (e.g., procurement of supplies, running errands, inventory stock-ups).
- Complete ad hoc tasks as assigned.
