The Opportunity We are looking for a Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team at Heiden Park Lodge Hostel in our Sydney Region on a permanent, full-time basis. You will make a difference to our residents by facilitating positive health and wellbeing options for individuals, their families, and carers. As the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will drive the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will also lead mental health and wellbeing programs which empower our resident"s choices and independence. What you will need - The ability to plan, organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life. - The ability to assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changing the programs as needed - Minimum Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle - Diversional Therapy Degree (highly desirable) - Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable) - Previous experience within an aged care setting - Highly developed organisation and time management skills - The ability to solve problems independently - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes - Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, internet/intranet skills, email communication, and confidence with smart phones and digital devices - Knowledge of Work Health and Safety Benefits - Competitive pay with salary packaging options (up to $15,900 living expenses and $2,650 entertainment benefits, tax-free) - Access to a Wellness Program and Employee Assistance Program - Retention bonus for permanent appointments - Supportive and friendly work environment - Flexible working arrangements for a great work/life balance - Ongoing workplace education and support - Make a real difference to your community and residents' lives Pre-employment screening The successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia and be willing to complete the following: - National Criminal History Check - Pre-Employment Checks - Vaccination in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy Appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment screening and confirmation of the applicant’s right to work in Australia.
