About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer who can combine strong engineering expertise with analytical and data modelling skills to deliver high-quality solutions across our data platforms. This is a hands-on role working closely with stakeholders, where you'll shape, design and deliver end-to-end data solutions.

What you'll be doing

- Designing, building and maintaining robust ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
- Developing and optimising data lakes and data warehouse solutions in Azure.
- Working closely with analysts and business teams to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose data models.
- Supporting Power BI developers with efficient data structures, DAX modelling and best practices.
- Driving data quality, performance optimisation, and governance across platforms.
- Collaborating with Product Owners, Testers, and other Engineers in an agile environment.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Data Engineer (5+ years ideally in enterprise environments).
- Strong skills in:

- Azure Data Factory

- Azure Data Lake

- Azure Synapse / SQL Data Warehousing

- ETL / ELT design and optimisation

- Solid understanding of Power BI data modelling (DAX, star/snowflake schema, measures, relationships).
- Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills - able to translate technical detail into business outcomes.
- Bonus: experience with Python, Databricks or Spark for data processing.
