This role contributes to the development, delivery, implementation and review of strategic policies and projects to facilitate organisational change and improvement together with leading strategic stakeholder engagement across Services for Youth Justice to improve outcomes for children and young people in Tasmania.

The Team

The Youth Justice Reform team is a small group who focus on the implementation of youth justice system reform through the Youth Justice Blueprint 2024 - 2034. This is done through a comprehensive, integrated and therapeutic approach that prioritises the rights of children, diversion and breaking the cycle of offending.

About the Role

This role contributes to the development, delivery, implementation and review of strategic policies and projects to facilitate organisational change and improvement together with leading strategic stakeholder engagement across Services for Youth Justice to improve outcomes for children and young people in Tasmania.

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
- The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: Conviction checks in the following areas: crimes of violence, sex related offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty, serious traffic offences, Identification check, Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
