About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer to join their Financial and Strategic Sourcing division. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who thrives in a structured, high-performing environment and enjoys managing the full procurement lifecycle — from planning and tendering to contract negotiation, award, and supplier performance management.

You’ll play a key role in delivering strategic sourcing outcomes, ensuring compliance with procurement frameworks, and driving value for money across a range of high-value projects.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement legislation, policies, and frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects in large or government-style organisations.
- High attention to detail and commitment to integrity and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality procurement and contract management support across multiple projects.
- Develop sourcing strategies, prepare documentation, and manage tender evaluations.
- Lead supplier negotiations, contract drafting, and award processes.
- Provide expert advice on procurement policy, governance, and risk management.
- Oversee contract administration, performance monitoring, and reporting.
- Manage contract variations, extensions, and dispute resolution in line with policy.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, registers, and reporting systems.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Prepare performance reports, briefing notes, and procurement correspondence.

Qualifications & Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement, or related disciplines (desirable).
- CIPS or equivalent certification highly regarded.
- Experience within the public or large organisational procurement environment preferred.
