Lycopodium is currently recruiting for Principal Process Engineers to join our growing Process team in Perth.

Reporting to the Group Manager - Process, the roles involve carrying out feasibility studies and detailed design including: metallurgical testwork design and execution, flowsheet development, operating cost development, PIDs, study write ups, supervision of process engineers and process plant commissioning.

The tasks you'll perform

- Develop project reporting requirements in accordance with Company and Client standards to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Respond immediately to change to ensure projects are completed on time in accordance with the contractual scope of work and services.
- Responsible and accountable for all Process design functions carried out on designated Projects, whether handled personally or delegated to subordinate staff members.
- Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements.
- Contribute to engineers in trainings professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
- Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Process Engineering group as required.

The expertise you'll bring

- Relevant tertiary education qualifications.
- Minimum of 15+ years of combined operations/commissioning and engineering design experience.
- Experience in modeling and digitalization, in hydrometallurgy (not essential, but desirable)
- Experience in flotation, gold and/or copper, base metals or lithium processing will be considered favourably.
- Intuitive leader with the ability to initiate, lead and manage change in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high quality service to clients within budget and time constraints.
- Willing to travel outside Australia on short term assignments ranging up to 6 week cycles when commissioning process plants.
