Content Lead for Officeworks - News Corp
We are looking for a savvy Content Lead to join our team 4 days per week, creating digital, print and social content for Officeworks. You’ll be responsible for managing and leading the content production cycle across Officeworks’s digital content hub, Noteworthy, Officeworks magazine and organic social channels and supporting the Content Director in developing and executing content strategy, reporting and the client relationship. Expert commissioning and editing skills are essential, as is a deep understanding of SEO and AEO principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissions, top‑edits and SEO‑edits print, digital, video and social content that adheres to best practice content principles and Officeworks business priorities.
- Understands SEO and AEO principles and how they are applied to digital content.
- Collaborates with team members on quality, data‑driven content ideas that meet Officeworks business priorities.
- Supports Content Director to ideate, develop and execute content strategy for BAU plans and ad‑hoc content campaigns.
- Supports team members across the content production process across print, digital and social channels.
- Meets deadlines and supports the Content Director to manage the production and workflow process across all content channels.
- Develops and maintains productive internal and external relationships and networks that facilitate the achievement of work‑related objectives.
- Manages the paid amplification process of content with internal and external teams, including planning, briefing, editing and delivery.
- Manages a direct report and steers the editorial team in the Content Director’s absence.
- Works collaboratively with the broader editorial team to ensure we are sharing learnings, insights and delivering against the Medium Rare values.
Who are you?
- You have 4–5 years’ experience as a deputy editor, content lead, or editorial leadership experience (or similar).
- You have experience in the creation and production of print media.
- You have a deep understanding of best‑practice SEO and AEO principles and how to apply them to digital content to drive referral traffic (across Noteworthy, social channels and YouTube).
- You use a range of SEO and analytics tools, including, but not limited to, BuzzSUMO, SEMRush, Google Trends and Adobe Analytics.
- You have experience working in an agency or with an external client, and understand the alignment between content the audience wants to consume and the client’s objectives.
- You are deadline‑driven, have an eye for detail and can think both creatively and analytically.
- You can make fast decisions backed by clear rationale and can communicate these effectively.
