Where you'll be working
Ward 8F provides care for patients requiring chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation (including auto, allogenic, and MUD transplants), radiotherapy, blood products among other intensive interventions required when dealing with oncology disorders. Staff are supported by the NUM, CNE and CNC based on the ward and through the hospital.
What you'll be doing
Provision of support to the nursing team in order to deliver a high standard of care to NSLHD patients.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate; or current enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).
- Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
