The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

Due to growth in our business we are now looking for an OT Cyber Security Engineer to join our cyber security team. This role plays a crucial role in safeguarding the operational technology (OT) environment of our energy transmission network. This position is responsible for protecting our critical infrastructure from cyber threats by implementing, managing, and maintaining security controls across our Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA, and other OT assets. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a deep understanding of both cyber security principles and the unique requirements of industrial networks.

About you

We’re seeking a skilled Cyber Security professional with a strong background in Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS). You’ll play a key role in safeguarding critical infrastructure within the energy sector.

What you’ll bring:

- Degree in Cyber Security, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in OT/ICS cyber security environments
- Familiarity with OT protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850), the Purdue Model, and ISO 62443
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Industry certifications (GICSP, CISSP, CEH) highly regarded
- Understanding of Australian energy sector security standards
- Experience with SCADA platforms used in energy transmission
- Strong analytical and incident response capabilities
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Solid grasp of network engineering principles
