Overview

Milestone IT is working with a key partner who is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud Security & Infrastructure). This is an exciting opportunity to deliver enterprise-level infrastructure and cloud projects, while providing advanced support across hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

- Provide architecture design and Level 4 support across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Deliver major projects in backup, disaster recovery, and datacentre relocations.
- Implement and support technologies including Azure, M365, Intune, AD/GPO, Cisco UCS, vSphere, and modern backup solutions such as Veeam, Hycu, and Cohesity.
- Apply a security-first approach, working with Purview DLP, Intune remediation, and aligning environments with the ASD Essential 8.
- Partner with major vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, Telstra) to ensure best practice solutions.
- Manage and support Windows Server (2003–2022) environments.

Skills & Certifications

- Certifications: Microsoft Certified [Azure Administrator Associate], Veeam VMCE.
- Proven experience in enterprise architecture, advanced troubleshooting, and project delivery.
- Strong technical background across Azure, vSphere, Entra ID, M365, Intune, and core infrastructure platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
