Why Your Role Matters

- Support infrastructure design, implementation, and documentation for capital projects

- Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with UNSW and industry standards

- Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and vendors to align delivery with operational needs

- Contribute to the development of infrastructure standards and continuous improvement

This role reports to the Team Leader, includes participation in the on‑call roster, and may require some after‑hours work.

With a degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field (and certifications such as CompTIA Server+ or CCNA an advantage), you bring hands‑on expertise across server, storage, and network systems.

You have strong technical and troubleshooting skills, a solid grasp of structured cabling and data centre operations, and proficiency with monitoring and diagnostic tools. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and can work independently to solve complex problems.

Experience with IT passive infrastructure design, reading technical drawings, or ITIL practices will be highly regarded.
