Description & Requirements

As our Seasonal Truck Driver based in our Perth Mail Centre at the Perth Airport, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities during our busiest time of the year. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that

We/'re now hiring for our seasonal period. Seasonal team members generally commence across September and December and depending on parcel volume, assisting us to deliver until around Christmas and sometimes beyond into January. It is even possible that some roles may become more permanent depending on business requirements. We have shifts starting at 1pm, 9pm and 10pm Monday to Friday with weekend overtime potential.

You’ll be removed

- Safely loading/unloading your truck with cages (ULD's) for delivery
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
- Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups
- Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups
- Using a forklift at some sites

You’ll be paid

- $38.58/hr inclusive of casual loading
- Day shift may attract an additional 15%, Night shift an additional 30%
- Penalty rates for overtime, evening, and weekend work
- Tonnage of approximately $11/shift

About you

- You’ll maintain full working rights
- You hold a relevant heavy vehicle license (HC preferred, HR is also fine) and a forklift licence
- You’re safety focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
- You have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
- You’re fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights - up to 16kg lift
- You’re prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo an Australia Post specific pre-employment medical (a max of 120kg due to safe seat limits), drug/alcohol screening and national criminal history checks.
