About the Opportunity

We are on the lookout for creative, fun and energetic Early Childhood Educators / Teachers to help guide little minds through their first years of learning.
Glenelg Shire Council runs six services across the Shire, including Katheleen Millikan Centre (Casterton), Karreeta Peeneeyt Mara Portland Child and Family Complex, Heywood Kindergarten, Dartmoor Children’s Services, Kalbarri Kindergarten and Jaycee Kindergarten.

Karreeta Peeneeyt Mara Portland Child & Family Complex
1 x Part Time – 8 hours per week (Every Monday)
(Note: Cert III qualified Educators may be considered)
1 x Part Time – 8 hours per week (Every Friday)
1 x Temp. Part Time to March 2026 - 24 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8 hours per day)

- A genuine understanding of and a desire to work with children aged 8 weeks through to kindergarten age.
- A positive outlook and team approach.
- Cert III, Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (working toward Cert III may be considered).
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
- Some experience working with children and families.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with all staff.
- Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to workplace.
