Overview
Our client is a leading provider and well known household name who provide quality poultry products to retailers, food service distributors and wholesalers across Australia.
We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor for their processing facility based in Pooraka, SA.
Remuneration and Work Schedule
- $32.55 per hour + Super + $166 weekly allowance
- Day Shift - With requirements for weekend work

Objectives and Role
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our reputation as a world-class processing site, supplying our valued customers, including large multinational clients, with the highest standards of product excellence.
As a leader, you will drive best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiencies and improve operational performance. You will be responsible for supervising production operations, managing employees, and ensuring we uphold our focus on safety, compliance, and our passion for quality.
This role will have you partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver consistent results by living the principles of openness, honesty, and collaboration.
Daily responsibilities
- Manage the team using coaching, developing, delegation and recognition to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals.
- Manage and monitor operational areas’ performance levels, ensuring they meet safety, quality, health and environmental standards and initiating corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Implement and monitor strategies to reduce staff turnover.
- Identify and resolve Animal Welfare, Food Safety and Quality issues, hazards and risks.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and communicating clearly across all levels of the business.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with leading and engaging a team, with the capabilities to create a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
- Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives through implementing strategies.
- Ability to analyse data, understanding production and team performance to improve efficiencies.
- Excellent communication with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong and effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to solve problems.
- Adaptable to change and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Must be available to work on weekends when required.
As this is a designated poultry site, ownership or presence of poultry including chickens, pigs, and ducks—at your residential address is strictly prohibited due to quarantine regulations.
