A well-established and growing supplier to the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a key role within a tight-knit business that services clients across major projects in power, rail, and industrial infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially savvy relationship builder who understands the importance of delivering excellent service while identifying new opportunities for growth. Your ability to manage the full sales cycle, from enquiry to post-delivery support will be critical in supporting existing accounts and driving further success.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key accounts in the energy and infrastructure sectors

- Oversee the full sales process: from quoting and order coordination through to delivery and ongoing client support

- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts and drive new business leads

- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery

- Prepare regular updates on account performance, forecasts, and pipeline activity

- Act as the key point of contact for customer queries and problem resolution

- Keep up to date with market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to tailor solutions accordingly

About You

- Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development, ideally in a technical product environment (electrical or mechanical)

- A background working with clients in the power, utilities, rail, or infrastructure sectors

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility

- Proactive, organised, and commercially minded

- Experience managing multiple priorities and internal stakeholders

- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous
