About the Role:

As our Finance Manager, you won't just oversee—you'll lead and empower a large, skilled finance team to excel. You'll be the linchpin for our daily financial operations, guaranteeing precision and compliance across payroll, reporting, tax, and essential financial systems. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll be absolutely pivotal in optimising processes, spearheading improvements, and providing the strategic financial insights that propel our company's national growth. Your expertise will be key to maintaining our financial strength and operational excellence across the country.

You have 10+ years of senior finance experience, managing teams in large Australian professional services or similar environments. You're commercially savvy, highly analytical, with a passion for leadership and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead & Develop: Supervise, mentor, and motivate a large finance team committed to excellence.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure seamless daily processing of transactions, accurate accounting, and timely reporting.
- Payroll & Employee Management: Oversee payroll for -1,000 staff, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Financial & Month-End Close: Coordinate month-end tasks, consolidation, and reporting for management and external stakeholders.
- Tax & Compliance: Manage BAS, IAS, PAYG, payroll taxes, workers' compensation, and related regulatory obligations.
- Systems & Processes: Drive improvements in finance systems, leverage automation, and optimise workflows.
- Strategic Support: Partner with the CFO in budgeting, forecasts, audits, and strategic initiatives.
- Reporting: Partner with the CFO to deliver timely management reports, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, annual company audit, the preparation of financial statements and other key reporting functions.

What we're looking for:

- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CA/CPA highly desired).
- Experience: 10+ years in Australian finance roles, with proven expertise in managing a team executing day to day financial operations.
- Expertise: Deep understanding of Australian financial processes, accounting standards, and compliance requirements to drive accuracy and ensure regulatory precision.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in large ERP and EPM systems & reporting tools, advanced Excel skills, and strong in financial modelling.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to inspire teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and influence across all levels.
- Problem Solver: Proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with an eye for detail and improving efficiency.
- Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities.
