The Company & Site
You’ll be joining a leading mining principal known for their strong site culture, focus on safety, and investment in people. This site has a long underground mine lift and a commitment to maintaining top-quality equipment and facilities.
- The camp features include modern ensuite rooms and full meals provided
- Variety of other facilities including indoor & outdoor gym, pool tables, tennis courts, and wet/dry mess
- Experience a social and supportive camp life with regular BBQs and crew catch-ups
- Telstra mobile coverage and Wi‑Fi access across camp
The Role & Duties
As an Auto Electrician you will be working alongside experienced tradespeople in the site’s maintenance team, day to day will consist of:
- Initially starting in the surface workshop, you will be trained up and then signed off to work across both surface and underground.
- Day-to-day will include - attending breakdowns, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, electrical fault-finding, repairs, and component change‑outs on a wide range of equipment and machinery.
- You will be working across a range of modern underground and surface equipment, including loaders, drills, charge rigs, light vehicles, and support equipment
- Some brands and OEMs on site are Sandvik, Normet, Elphinstone and more.
Roster & Travel
You will get to enjoy a roster and travel structure that is balanced, easy and flexible:
- FIFO from major QLD locations - Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns with charter flights provided
- Short bus transfer from the airport to site
- 8:6 or 7:7 roster across days and nights
- Full camp accommodation and meals provided
Your Skills & Experience
We are seeking an experience automotive electrician who has the following:
- Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (Cert III or equivalent)
- Experience on heavy equipment is essential, and mining experience is highly regarded
- Certificate II in Air Conditioning is highly desired
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Excellent safety focus and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical & police clearance
