Overview

Part-Time Cost Accountant – Flexible Role (3 Days per Month) in the Southeast, on-site. Immediate start preferred. Industry: Manufacturing (Food manufacturing experience preferred).

Responsibilities

The accountant will be responsible for ongoing and periodic tasks, including:

- Monthly tasks: Issue the Monthly Profit & Loss reports and lodge the BAS to the ATO by the 21st of each month.

- Quarterly tasks: Lodge Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns to the ATO quarterly (4 times per year).

- Annual budgeting: Complete the annual budget for each financial period. Note: Our financial year runs from 1 October to 30 September; the annual budget must be prepared and submitted by the end of August each year.

- Year-end financial audit: After the end of the financial year (30 September), compile and summarise the 12-month Financial Statement; prepare all necessary documentation for the auditor; attend and participate in the financial audit, and respond to auditor questions with supporting documents as required.

Qualifications & Ideal Candidate

- Experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience highly preferred.

- Strong understanding of BAS, FBT, profit and loss reporting, and budgeting.

- Familiarity with year-end audit preparation.

- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

- Ability to work autonomously with flexible scheduling.

Work Schedule

- Approximately 3 days per month

- Flexible with days and hours – choose what suits you best

- On-site role
