- Maternity Cover (12 months) starting in March
We’re looking for a Veterinarian for 2 days per week (Mondays and Fridays) for a 12 month temporary position at our central Melbourne clinic.
Our work is a little different to your average clinic. Mostly, we dedicate a lot of our day to working with export companies and the department of agriculture, assisting in preparing pets for overseas travel. We’re a team of 4 vets and 4 nurses.
Responsibilities
- Consultations, medical work-ups and management
- Soft tissue surgery
- Radiography (full body and dental)
- Dental procedures
- In-house clinical pathology
- We utilise specialist services for most orthopaedics
- Specialist ultrasonographer visits the practice as necessary
Clinic and Equipment
The clinic is well equipped with digital radiography, IM3 dental unit, ophthalmology equipment with tonometers, and an IDEXX in-house pathology system. The software program is Vision (a New Zealand program but quite user friendly).
Schedule and Leadership
We’re looking for someone to work 8:45 am till 7:00 pm with regular breaks included throughout their day. Each Monday, you will be the head vet, so the ability to work comfortably sole charge is important.
Compensation
Wages are negotiable and commensurate with experience.
