A key member of the IM Supply Chain team, the Inventory Controller is responsible for inventory governance & adherence to policy & procedures across ANZ. With Project & Account management, Purchasing and Operations functions, they will organise the efficient use & control of inventory throughout the business. With the Operations & Logistics functions, they will oversee inventory BtB reconciliations with 3PL service providers and manage inventory reconciliations across stock takes & cycle counts. The role is accountable for executing inventory control measures to ensure optimum inventory levels and minimal storage costs. Along with these deliverables, the function will analyze master data, ensuring inventory visibility and controls are in place to drive efficient processes & mitigations for resolution across the value chain. Role Responsibilities - Oversees inventory processes in alignment to the global inventory policy ensuring organizational KPIs are delivered. - Maintains the global inventory policy and procedures to ensure these are fit for purpose. - Maintains & manages stock integrity ensuring standards are established and monitored. - Responsible for monitoring and reviewing all functions related to cycle counting, stock adjustments and managed stock takes. - Responsible for inventory reconciliation, inventory accuracy and inventory projects across the IM region, working directly with 3PL service providers and internal stakeholders. - Proposes strategies to reduce external warehousing costs in 3PL warehouses influenced by inventory. - Investigates and develops corrective & preventative actions to improve inventory accuracy. - Reports on inventory levels in the appropriate S&OP forum. With Global Planning, develops appropriate targets for the IM region. - Across the IM region, working with Finance processes count in/outs, inventory write off requests and works with stakeholders to ensure compliance to policy. Role Requirements - 2-3 years’ experience in inventory, distribution and operational processes & procedures - APICS CPIM certification (advantageous) - Able to multitask and work independently, with proven leadership & collaboration skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - In-depth understanding of inventory practices in a highly dynamic & collaborative environment - Inventory training experience an asset - Leadership experience in conducting stock-takes & cycle counts - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; particularly Excel, Word and Outlook - Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines - Ability to problem solve and present creative solutions - Experience in executing inventory best practices in an ERP environment About Coates We are industry leaders who have won awards and set records.
