The Role: Positive Ageing - Program Coordinator
If you are looking for a rewarding role where you will make an impact on the lives of our ageing community members then this is the role for you
As one of the fastest growing council areas in South Australia, the City of Playford is focused on building sustainable foundations and places the community at the heart of everything we do. Our city is enriched by growing and diverse communities in new and established suburbs, rural and hilltownship and horticultural lands.
The Positive Ageing team at the City of Playford supports compassion, dignity and living life to the fullest. From our thoughtfully curated activities and wellness programs through to creating nutritious meals that bring joy to the senses and coordinating personalised care services, we’re shaping the future of ageing positively. We celebrate independence and value creating new opportunities for our community to live well, laugh often and make cherished memories.
As the Positive Ageing Program Coordinator, you will support customers to increase their connection with community in alignment with their individual goals to ensure that all program requirements are met as outlined by the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) grant funding agreement and organisational requirements.
Additionally, the Positive Ageing Program Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of objectives that promote living life to the fullest for older people by delivering and evaluating activities and programs that focus on social inclusion, client choice and wellness and reablement.
This opportunity might be just the thing for you if you are…
- Experienced in delivering programs in a way that celebrates and supports positive ageing, customer rights, diversity, access and inclusion.
- Have a good understanding of the Aged Care sector, legislation and funding requirements which will support you with coordinating successful and exceptional services to our community.
- An excellent communicator with high level of interpersonal skills.
We’re not your typical 9-to-5. Whether you’re an early riser, you need to drop the kids off or you need to work from home, you can embrace true flexibility that works for you. Sometimes you’ll need to stay back in the evening or come in on the weekend because that’s what our community needs.
We care about what you achieve and want to get the best out of you. We embrace autonomy, diverse working styles and celebrate the uniqueness that every team member brings to the table. Meet your deadlines, exceed expectations and enjoy the freedom to manage your workload in a way that works best for you.
