About Us

The City of Whittlesea is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Australia. As a local government organisation, we play a pivotal role in the everyday lives of our community. Our vision is to make Whittlesea 2040: A Place For All by ensuring our residents can enjoy access to local services, facilities and infrastructure.

Our staff are passionate, skilled and diverse, providing a great environment to work in and succeed.

The Role

Make a difference in our community The City of Whittlesea is seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Support Officer to join our Maintenance and Operations (M&O) team. This critical role provides high-level administrative support to both the Manager Maintenance & Operations and the Head of Operations, and will play a vital role in supporting the M&O leadership team to deliver a broad suite of service improvement projects and initiatives, while also helping to maintain quality and consistency across system implementation and process redesign. From overseeing customer and stakeholder enquiries to monitoring performance data, workflows, and service standards—including OHS practices—you’ll contribute directly to a transformation agenda that’s shaping better outcomes for the Whittlesea community.

About You

You are a detail-driven professional who thrives on structure, accuracy, and continuous improvement. With a strong background in business or operational support, you will bring a solid foundation in administrative processes alongside proven experience in supporting the delivery of complex projects. You’re confident managing project timelines, tracking milestones, preparing documentation, and coordinating stakeholders to ensure progress remains on track. You’re also skilled at using systems and data to drive performance—whether that’s monitoring workflows, identifying and resolving system issues, or providing helpdesk support and training to users. Your ability to balance project responsibilities with day-to-day business support, coupled with excellent communication and organisational skills, means you excel in fast-paced, dynamic environments. If you’re motivated by the opportunity to support meaningful change and deliver better outcomes for the community, this role offers a rewarding next step. If this sounds like you, then you should definitely apply
