Overview

The role will ensure value is added to the company by applying actuarial principles to provide advice on important business decisions and liability valuations, with a focus on reserving.

Responsibilities

- Support preparation of annual actuarial valuation and financial condition reports.

- Manage monthly liability valuations and contribute to statutory reporting.

- Assist with year-end assumptions, financial accounts, and audits.

- Maintain IFRS 17 financial journals.

- Identify opportunities to improve reserving and reporting processes.

- Review CTP claims development and provide portfolio insights.

- Collaborate with Claims, Pricing, Underwriting, and Finance teams.

- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and risk management practices.

- Contribute to the Actuarial Control Cycle with technical and peer reviews.

- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.

About you

Experience & Knowledge:

- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field.

- Progress towards Actuary qualification (Institute of Actuaries or equivalent).

- Minimum 3 years’ actuarial experience in general insurance, ideally reserving.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.

- Knowledge of IFRS 17, regulatory frameworks, and actuarial standards.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proactive and adaptable team player with strong attention to detail, time management under pressure, integrity, and commitment to ongoing development.

Ways of working

Youi offers a hybrid model: in-office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
