About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Engineer to lead the testing efforts for our cutting-edge project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering and quality assurance, driving excellence in testing strategy, execution, and automation. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our data platform by leveraging modern tools and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans tailored to the project architecture.

- Lead and coordinate all phases of testing including functional, integration, and regression testing.

- Perform extensive API testing using Postman, ensuring thorough coverage and accurate validation.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, focusing on efficiency and scalability.

- Track testing progress, manage defects, and report issues using Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira.

- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and resolve issues.

- Provide clear and concise reporting on test results, quality metrics, and potential risks to project leadership.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and standards.

To Be Successful in This Role, Your Skills and Experience Should Include:

- Postman: Proven hands-on experience with Postman for API testing. High proficiency is strongly preferred.

- Python: Solid experience with Python scripting. Intermediate proficiency is ideal to support automation and test development.

- Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira: Familiarity with either tool for test management, issue tracking, and reporting.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
