Family Therapist/ Senior Family Therapist

The Royal Children’s Hospital’s (RCH) Vision is “A world where all kids thrive”.

Over 150 years, RCH provides a full range of paediatric and adolescent health services, tertiary and quaternary care, and a workforce of over 6,000 staff.

We are seeking a part‑time Senior Family Therapist / Family Therapist to join the RCH Mental Health Mid West Community team located in St Albans. The role is 0.6EFT, part‑time.

The Role: As part of an expanded family therapy service, the successful applicant will deliver family therapy to infants, children, young people and their families, and collaborate closely with the Team Coordinator, Discipline Senior, and other allied health professionals. The position may require working at multiple sites.

To be successful in this role:

- Family Therapist:

- Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in family therapy for infants, children and young people.

- Can practice autonomously and within an interdisciplinary team.

- Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.

- Committed to evidence‑based practice and professional development.

- Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Senior Family Therapist:

- Significant experience in family therapy for infants, children and young people.

- Can practice autonomously and within an interdisciplinary team.

- Has experience supervising clinicians and students.

- Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximise service coordination.

- Interested or experienced in quality improvement and program evaluation.
