About the role

As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and servicing computer-related products at client sites and depot locations. This includes desktops, laptops, printers, network devices, standard software, and low-end servers.

You/'ll work on a variety of assignments ranging from routine service calls and hardware break-fix through to more advanced activities such as reloading and re-imaging PCs/laptops, and optimising hardware/software networking products. Guided by Help Desk or Service Desk teams, you/'ll apply your own knowledge to resolve issues that cannot be fixed remotely, ensuring client satisfaction at every step.

This role provides hands-on variety and is a genuine stepping stone into long-term IT career opportunities at Unisys.

Key responsibilities

- Perform service calls across a wide range of IT equipment

- Carry out basic installations and upgrades

- Provide hardware break-fix, troubleshooting, and component replacement

- Complete installs, moves, adds, and changes in client environments

- Provide desk side support for personal computers and associated software

- Support printers and low-end servers as required

- Handle routine, non-complex technical problems and escalate where needed

- Maintain professionalism and deliver excellent customer service throughout each interaction

What we/'re looking for

- A+ certification or equivalent (highly regarded)

- Strong knowledge of desktop hardware and software, including Microsoft applications

- Basic troubleshooting and repair ability, with hands-on toolkit experience

- Valid Australian driver/'s licence and reliable vehicle

- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance

- Australian citizenship (required for security clearance)

- Casual role with days and hours dependent on client service needs (generally 8.30am - 4.30pm)
