Overview Clinical Nurse Specialist - Infection Prevention and Control Position No: 00601141 Work Type: Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Part Time Unit/Directorate: North Metropolitan Mental Health Service > Mental Health Services - Infection Prevention and Control This is a Permanent Part Time appointment for up to 68.4 hours per fortnight (0.9 FTE). Fixed Term Part Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency may also be considered. Please note this position is a day duties position, Monday to Friday. Free parking is available, and flexibility will be provided in relation to workdays and hours. Responsibilities - Lead the implementation of the Mental Health Service and Dental Health Service (MHSDHS) Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) programs. - Oversee ongoing review and development of IPC-related policies. - Provide a high‑level clinical advisory service regarding IPC matters within the services. - Support and model IPC best practice to staff and teams across the services. Qualifications and qualities - Current registration as a registered nurse with appropriate qualifications for Infection Prevention and Control clinical leadership. - Experience in infection prevention and control within health services; ability to lead policy development and program implementation. - Strong communication, collaboration, and advisory skills; alignment with core values: Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork, and Integrity. - Willingness to uphold the organisation’s values during the selection process and in daily work.
