We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering and Asset Management team.

The key focus of the Electrical Engineer is to support the Senior Electrical Engineer with managing the electrical Network, with a focus on Low Voltage Network and the Airports multimillion Dollar Capital Development Plan. The role will be responsible for the extensive Low voltage Network and asset base, advising on its capability to support Capital Projects, where development and expansion may be required. The primary role is to be the key engineering stakeholder for Capital works with a Low Voltage connection, supporting the Senior Electrical Engineer with the extensive Capital development plan.

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

- Subject matter expert and technical lead for our LV Systems and Asset management

- Drive Continuous Improvement in asset utilisation, life‑cycle cost and operational efficiencies.

- Assist the Senior Electrical Engineer in maintaining Technical Standards associated with all our HV and Primary LV

- Support and mentoring to our electrical coordinators

- Support the Senior Electrical Engineer with developing the capital plan with effective planning and budgeting for Low Voltage asset upgrades as required

- Ensure all primary LV asset information is correct and up to, including management of the APAM electrical documentation suite (drawings, reports, schedules etc) and electrical asset data within the APAM EAM system (Dynamics) is accurate and current.

- Ensure asset data is up to date will be key to accurate electrical network planning model development and facilitating the airports development plan, as well as accurate REPEX forecasting.

- Manage the APAM Electrical Low Voltage suite of technical standards including periodic reviews and updates to ensure consistency with changes in Australian Standard, electrical safety updates/changes from ESV, and technology impacting the electrical assets.

- Be the Electrical network point of contact from project inception and throughout design phase of Low Voltage

- Development of project Briefs Identifying point of supply and undertaking capacity assessments in conjunction with the proposed Airport Capital Development Plan

- Reviews and design stage endorsements

- Management of asset data quality into APAM EAM & GIS system

- Management of electrical testing, commissioning, and handover process.

- Implementation of Post Project reviews with APAM PMO team and external PM’s to provide feedback on what went well on the project and any areas for improvement.

The successful candidate will have:

- Demonstrable technical proficiency Primary LV and basic HV electrical infrastructure

- Relevant engineering and Technical services delivery experience preferred

- Core understanding of key asset requirements from a Design, Build, Operate and Maintain.

- Experience in Electrical infrastructure focused experience of Primary LV and basic HV electrical infrastructure

- A minimum of 5-years relevant engineering and technical operational experience

- Operational management experience in electrical infrastructure highly desirable

- Electrical Engineering degree
