About you and your new role… Your leadership experience in the mental health or community services sector will be of great value in this role as well as your hands-on experience in working within a mental health or equivalent community-based role.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing leadership, coaching and supervision to the Wellbeing Team across multiple locations
- Supporting recruitment, leading and overseeing a multidisciplinary team ensuring all members of the team have the necessary skills, support, and knowledge to carry out their role
- Support lived experience leadership and advocacy
- 1:1 and Group interventions
- Work closely with partner organisation’s health promotion and community engagement teams to broaden the reach and impact of the team’s activities

Requirements

- Demonstrated understanding of Community Development principles
- Certificate IV/Diploma in a social science or related discipline or 2+ year relevant work experience in the Mental Health Sector or Intentional Peer Support Training
- 100 points of identification
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- Drivers Licence
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check - Blue Card
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- NDIS Workers Orientation Modules – free online course

The Medicare Mental Health Centres will provide the community with a free, safe and welcoming space to access mental health advice, supports and services. Walk-ins will be welcomed, services are confidential, and no appointment or referral will be needed.
